Traditionally precinct caucuses would have occurred on March 4th.  However, both the Republican and Democratic Parties of Minnesota have decided to hold their caucuses on February 5th, 2008.

It is hoped that this change in date will make them more relevant to the national decision on who the endorsed candidates will be.
