On Saturday, March 8th, Republicans from Senate District 37 held their 2008 BPOU Convention at Scott Highlands Middle School. It was a wonderful event and many of the conservatives that attended were attending their very first political convention. Their enthusiasm and passion for the issues was refreshing and encouraging to those conservatives who have been in the process for a long time. It also indicates that 2008 is a year of great opportunity for Republicans, as people throughout the state are sick of the results brought on by years of liberal politicians.
Part of the agenda for the day included endorsement of our 2007 House Candidates. Delegates from House District 37A Republicans unanimously endorsed Tara Mack for Minnesota State House 37A. After an endorsement battle by three quality candidates, delegates from House District 37B Republicans finally endorsed Judy Lindsay for Minnesota State House 37B. Congratulations to all our endorsed candidates as we move forward to Election Day.
And in the process of moving forward, both 37A and 37B selected delegates and alternates to represent them at both the Congressional District 2 and State conventions. The information for the CD2 convention can be found on our calendar. A full list of all delegates and alternates for both 37A and 37B can be found in our News Announcements.
Minutes for the meeting are available upon request by our members, by contacting Kevin Ecker, BPOU Secretary.
